VAC Master Preamplifier

The VAC Master Preamplifier translates the refined engineering principles of VAC's Statement line into an elegantly focused control center for discerning audio systems. Employing the same hand-wired Class A1 circuitry, precision components, and construction methodology as its cost-no-object counterparts, the Master delivers Statement-level performance in a more streamlined package. A massive 2.2 kg custom brass volume control with integral shielding provides infinite resolution adjustment, complemented by motorized remote control for seamless gain management. All audio circuits mount on mass-loaded machined plates decoupled from the main chassis, maximizing detail retrieval and imaging while virtually eliminating microphony. Premium z-foil resistors and VAC transformers ensure sonic purity throughout the signal path. When optionally equipped with the dedicated phono stage, a separate power transformer and isolated DC umbilical cable maintain complete electrical independence between phono and line sections—effectively creating an external-quality phono stage within the chassis while preserving the critical ground reference integrity essential for conveying fine signal detail. Premium resistors and exotic capacitors match those found in VAC's Statement Phono Stage.
