The A3 has been reborn. When the original A3 arrived in 2017, it transformed the way people viewed Magico loudspeakers, bringing the engineering, materials, and sonic performance that defined Magico to a much wider audience. Nine years later, Magico has revisited its most accessible floorstanding loudspeaker and refined every element. The 2027 A3 is a three-way, four-driver design. New enclosure. New drivers. New crossover. Nothing has been retained simply because it worked before.
The 2027 A3 incorporates advanced measurement and verification technologies first introduced during the development of the M9. Using a laser vibrometer, Magico engineers analyzed cabinet panel vibrations and the resulting sound pressure levels to precisely refine structural bracing and damping, with subsequent measurements confirming the improvements. A Near-Field Scanner (NFS) robot further enhanced acoustic performance by measuring sound radiation across the entire three-dimensional sphere surrounding the loudspeaker. This comprehensive analysis captures both on-axis and off-axis response, enabling a level of data-driven acoustic optimization far beyond that achieved with the original A3.
