The design emphasizes precision engineering with minimal mechanical joints and the use of the stiffest materials in critical areas, allowing assembly without adhesives thanks to extremely tight tolerances. It features a newly developed, low-mass, precision vertical bearing assembly that complements the Planar 10 turntable’s design philosophy. The RB3000 also employs Rega’s latest award-winning arm tube, hand-polished to reduce mass, entirely redesigned to redistribute mass, lessen stresses, and minimize resonances, resulting in increased stiffness, rigidity, and reduced bearing strain.
