A unique feature of our speaker cables is the addition of an independent earth connection. Each conductor is fully screened against interference from RFI and other radiated fields, which adversely effects sound quality. Earthing the screen into an external point, such as the electrical mains earth, improves this function and sonic benefits include extended and detailed bass response with improved clarity in the treble.
Interference emitted by other audio and visual equipment in close proximity produces background noise, which is picked up by cables. The earthing configuration further reduces this interference over normal screening, leaving 'inky black' backgrounds on quite passages and a better sense of space around instruments and singers. A special mains earthing plug is supplied with our cable sets for this purpose and can be used for either single or bi-wire configurations.
