The LX-380 represents a new era in golden ‘38’ series vacuum tube integrated amplifiers from LUXMAN.
Providing an exceptionally deep resonance of sound sources of various ages and genres, LX-380 combines LECUA – a computerized attenuator which carefully reproduces the dynamism of each performance – with a power amplifier circuit that expresses the rich musicality of the 6L6GC output tube.
Housed in a wooden case that is reminiscent of the 28 series, the LX-380 appeals to a new generation with a winning combination of cutting edge technology and traditional know-how.
The LX-380 utilizes the 6L6GC beam power tube, renowned for its stable, delicate sound. With a 20W+20W output, it offers powerful, flexible Mullard type driver stage and push pull structure final stage with fixed bias type to maintain grid voltage. Vacuum tube amplifiers create a uniquely rich tonal quality; this and reliable performance are achieved in the LX-380 thanks to its margin of vacuum tube and peripherals. Testing and original design ensure longevity and satisfaction from this product.
Classical knob layout and wooden case
The elegant exterior in a natural veneer finish in a full-sized (440mm) square wooden case is reminiscent of the original classic layout that consists of a combination of knob and lever switches made of machined aluminum and resin.
The LX-380 is the first of its kind: a vacuum tube amplifier featuring LECUA, LUXMAN's proprietary 88-step computerized control attenuator. It also has a high-performance semicon amplifier circuit, previously proven in the L-590AX. It's equipped with a tone control function, loudness mode, and a fully-fledged phono amplifier circuit that's compatible with MM/MC types, and includes a subsonic switch and monaural switch. For expansion, it features a bi-amplifier structure and a headphone output. Plus, robust 18mm-pitch gold-plated RCA terminals and two lines of speaker terminals for two systems.
